MGA Recycling & Upcycling Hub collects and transforms discarded plastics and other recyclables into valuable materials and products, working with communities, schools and partners across Ghana.
Ideal for municipalities, NGOs, corporate CSR teams and communities seeking practical, scalable waste solutions.
A community-centered hub model that converts waste into raw materials and eco-products while creating local employment.
MGA Recycling & Upcycling Hub is a Ghanaian initiative dedicated to building a practical circular economy. We focus on plastics first, with a phased integration of textiles and other recyclables. Our ambition is to develop a network of hubs starting along the Accra–Cape Coast corridor and expanding nationwide.
We set up collection points in neighbourhoods, schools and markets, and work with existing waste pickers and tricycle operators to gather plastic waste.
Collected plastics are washed, dried and shredded into clean flakes, which are sold as raw material to manufacturers or used in our own upcycling processes.
A portion of plastics is transformed into paving blocks, tiles, bins, furniture and décor, creating durable, affordable products for local markets.
If you are interested in partnering, funding equipment, piloting a recycling initiative or buying recycled products, we’d love to talk.
